The Midlands Engine has partnered with the UK Municipal Bonds Agency to assess the opportunity for a Green Bond for the region, which could offer a cost effective, long term finance option for businesses to fund capital projects to decarbonise and grow.

Business Water Efficiency Checks - Severn Trent
Severn Trent are offering support for businesses in Leicester, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire to become more sustainable, save water and reduce bills. This initiatives is part of the the Green Recovery Programme, running until March 2024. They can support businesses by:
- Completing a water audit at the business premises
- Install water saving products, provide tailored advise to business needs and repair simple plumbing issues
- Provide detailed audit report to advise on savings and how to further reduce water bill
Midlands Engine Investment Fund II
The Midlands Engine Investment Fund II will deliver £400 million of new funding to small and medium-sized businesses across the Midlands.
The fund aims to build on the success of the first Midlands Engine Investment Fund, and will drive sustainable economic growth by supporting innovation and creating opportunities for new and growing businesses in the Midlands.
The Midlands Engine Investment Fund II offers a range of commercial finance options with debt finance from £25,000 to £2 million and equity investment up to £5 million. The fund covers the whole of the Midlands, including the West Midlands, East Midlands and South East Midlands.

Engagement Events with Mayoral Candidates
East Midlands Chamber are running a series of engagement events with mayoral candidates in the lead up to the Combined Mayoral Authority elections on the 2 May.
Year 5 and 6 Careers Day - Wadsworth Fields Primary School

Wadsworth Fields have been running Careers Days for local primary schools for 12 years. They are looking for local employers to get involved with their next Careers Day.
Providers will be asked to prepare a 7-minute presentation to a group of 8-12 pupils, introducing what they do, what a typical day is like and what skills and qualifications are needed.
