Great leadership starts with developing the right habits. This webinar looks at how habits are developed and how to change them, before sharing the three habit areas all effective leaders must continuously master to be effective in any role and engage fully their teams.

Negotiating Sales through Excellent Customer Service

Date: 29 May

Time: 9.30am - 11am

The aim of this action planning workshop is to provide delegates to see how they can work well with customers to maximise results and relationships whilst developing a culture of involvement, and co-operation when negotiating.

Supply Chain Sustainability: Managing the Environmental Risk to Business

Date: 29 May

Time: 10am - 11am

This webinar will cover some of the changes from deforestation to green chemistry. This includes some of the “largest ever chemical legislation” which will include packaging, timber, leather, food, fire-retardants and non-slip coatings and therefore impact manufacturing supply chains from automotive and aerospace to construction.

Recruiting in a Tight Labour Market

The Quarterly Economic Survey for the East Midlands Chamber shows that recruitment remains challenging for many SMEs.

For those employers relying on a passive approach such as job boards or word of mouth, this webinar will help to explore alternative ways to find and attract new employees and widen your recruitment pipeline, so you have the best talent to select from.

Broxtowe Energy Grant Readiness Workshop

Location: Strelley Hall, Nottingham, NG8 6PE

Are you a business in Broxtowe looking to apply for one of the UKSPF energy grants?

The first stage of a businesses application for this grant is an energy audit. The aim of this in person session will be to produce an initial energy baseline with associated carbon footprint and identify some energy saving ideas for the businesses that attend. This workshop will also go over some broader training around energy auditing for your business to be able to take away and hopefully implement.

Local businesses are invited to a FREE Business Support Surgery on Friday 14 June 2024 (9.30am to 4.30pm) at Kimberley Library. Whether you’re already in business or just about to start up, you have the opportunity to speak to Nottinghamshire County Council's Business Adviser, Alison North.

There are six slots available throughout the day and they are bookable on a first come, first served basis.

Broxtowe Businesses Encouraged to Sign Declaration on Tobacco Control

Smoking is the leading cause of premature death, disease and disability in our communities. Since the introduction of the smokefree law in 2007 all businesses and organisations are required to keep enclosed public spaces and workplaces smokefree.

However, many have gone one step further and introduced workplace policies and acted to promote health and productive smokefree environments for everyone.  Sign the declaration on tobacco control and demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to addressing tobacco related issues and improving the health of your workforce.
