👮♀️ Night of Action in Bournemouth town centre this evening
A Night of Action aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) is taking place in Bournemouth town centre, forming part of a wider, multi-agency campaign to improve the locality and engage with residents.
The event, scheduled this evening (Friday 2 August), will highlight how BCP Council, Dorset Police and other partners are working together to protect public safety and address anti-social behaviour (ASB).

🔥 Enhanced enforcement to tackle nuisance behaviour
After a period of public consultation, increased enforcement of new measures in coastal and open spaces is set to crack down on nuisance behaviours such as open fires and public urination.
Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) will help to enhance Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s (BCP) coastal and open spaces so they can be enjoyed safely by everyone. Find out more below.

This week we launched an innovative new public information web app which will provide useful wind, weather and water condition data for residents and tourists visiting beaches in Boscombe.
The web app
is being piloted throughout the summer until September where it’s effectiveness will be assessed ahead of a full roll out. Find out more below.

🏠Household support fund open for applications

The Government-funded Household Support Fund (HSF) provides financial help for vulnerable households, focusing on costs associated with food, energy and other essentials.

🧓 Proposal for adult social care boost
A £1.79 million investment in adult social care to improve the lives of adults and their families who require support, has been passed our councillors.
The initial investment will go towards the Fulfilled Lives Programme, which aims to support people to remain independent and in the community for longer. Find out more below.

🛣️ Major transport improvements to Ringwood Road in Poole start in September
Work on a major investment in bus, walking, cycling and road improvements including resurfacing along the A3049/B3068 Ringwood Road in Poole, between Hunt Road and Mountbatten Roundabout starts on 2 September.
Funded by a £17.5 million grant secured from central government’s Transforming Cities Fund
, Ringwood Road, which is operating at maximum traffic capacity with thousands of motorised vehicles using it daily, will benefit from a range of upgrades to improve safety, encourage active travel and reduce traffic congestion. Find out more below.
