Entries for the Dorset Business Awards 2024 are now open!
 
It's time to showcase your achievements, get recognition for your innovation and celebrate your team. The Dorset Business Awards offer businesses in all sectors and of all sizes a tremendous opportunity for recognition of your achievements.
 
The Awards are free-to-enter and are open to all organisations in Dorset and you don’t have to be a Member of Dorset Chamber. 
As well as plenty of publicity, finalists will receive complimentary tickets and be celebrated at the Awards Dinner on 10 October. Entries close 13 June.
 
The Awards are part of the Dorset Business Festival which is supported by Premier Festival Partner Lester Aldridge and Festival Partners Blue Sky Financial Planning, Bournemouth and Poole College, Dorset Council, Electrix and YMCA Bournemouth.

🤝 One Health 2024: We Mean Business Conference

Dorset LEP is hosting its annual national One Health: We mean business Conference to explore commercial solutions to global problems and increase understanding.

The organisers are calling for healthcare professionals and researchers, environmental scientists and advocates, government and policy makers, academics and students and potential investors with an established interest in the approach of ‘One Health’ and businesses of any size who currently (or are planning to) operate in the human, animal, plant and environmental health sphere to join us at this ground-breaking event.

💡 Secure your place at the Air Festival STEM Village

Bournemouth Air Festival 2024 is hoping to inspire budding engineers with an enhanced STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Village on the beach. Following its success since 2021, the innovation-inspired village will feature unique demonstrations and displays from industry-leading companies, both local and national.
What is the STEM village?
A chance to engage with thousands of people across all ages, to show case your organisation as well as inspire people to look at careers in STEM. The STEM village is an integral part of Bournemouth Air Festival  which takes place 29th – 31st August 2024.
 
Why should your business get involved?
If you are a business or organisation that wants to increase the STEM talent pool in the UK, this will give you access to thousands.  Bournemouth Air Festival attracts circa 500,000 people, who come from all over the UK.

🎺 Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's 2024 / 25 season
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2024/25 season, which marks the arrival of incoming Chief Conductor Mark Wigglesworth and Principal Guest Conductor, Chloé Van Soeterstède. The season, which is supported by Season Sponsor Investec Wealth & Investment (UK), also marks the Orchestra's fifth year of live broadcasting from Lighthouse, Poole - as it shares performances around the globe.

👩‍💻 ED Team visit FOUNDRY in Poole
The Economic Development (ED) team at BCP Council visited FOUNDRY in Poole for an exclusive preview and tour of the brand new co-working space that will soon be welcoming startup and established businesses, freelancers and networkers.
Adam Walker, founder, said: "FOUNDRY will be offering the Poole business community a platform to meet clients, contacts and build connections. Great to show the BCP ED team around and give them a sneak peak of our private offices, dedicated desks, meeting rooms and boutique members work lounge".

📢 Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) new CEO
Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) are pleased to announce that Captain Brian Murphy will be taking over as CEO of PHC from Jim Stewart on 1^st July 2023. Brian has been with the organisation since 2004. He was appointed as Harbour Master in 2008 and was given the extra responsibility of Marine & Port Director in 2018.
