๐ Transport safety pilot launched
We're working with morebus
to create safer travel across the bus network, and you'll spot our friendly Transport Safety Officers on key routes as part of our new initiative to address antisocial behaviour.
These specially trained officers will travel on bus services and will be seen in and around Poole Bus Station, and Bournemouth and Boscombe Travel Interchanges as part of this scheme.
Come and chat to them about their role or if you spot any antisocial behaviour while out and about on the bus network.

๐ Global recognition for age-friendly practices
BCP Council and its partners have joined together to create an Age Friendly Network and together they are committed to supporting the local older population to thrive, stay independent and age well.
We are very proud that the World Health Organisation have accepted the Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole region into its Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities (GNAFCC)!
Pictured above are the brilliant people from the BCP Age Friendly Communities Steering Group, holding the GNAFCC Certificate!

Thinking of fostering a child or young person?
As Foster Care fortnight concludes, we are asking more people to consider fostering to provide loving spaces for children and young people who need safe, stable, and nurturing environments.
Our foster care community is as diverse as they come โ just like parents, foster carers come from diverse backgrounds. We warmly welcome LGBTQ+ folks, vibrant young adults (you can start fostering from 25!), individuals with disabilities, and those from ethnic minority backgrounds to join us.
If you're ready to bring positive energy into a child's life, we want YOU on our team. Let's make a difference together โ join us in creating loving homes for those who need it most!
