🕷️ Be tick-aware when enjoying our parks and countryside
When enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family – whether it’s to participate in walking, running, gardening, camping, or picnicking – make sure you and others are ‘tick aware’ to reduce the risk of getting bitten. Follow this simple Tick Trick:
* Think before you go out and about in country parks, fields and greenspaces
* Readily use insect repellent!
* Inspect yourself and others – after long walks check your skin and clothing for ticks, be sure to brush them off
* Cover up – wear light coloured longer clothing
* Keep moving – walk on paths if you can, and don’t dwell in long grassy areas.

🚸 Second-hand and free-cycling school uniform
Buying new school uniform can soon run up a hefty bill. Most schools organise second-hand school uniform sales before they break up for the summer term. Contact your school for details and grab yourself a bargain - it's also better for the environment!
Schools may also offer uniform support for families in financial difficulty. Finally, don't forget to check out school community social media groups for free-cycled and second hand school uniform for sale. The Facebook group "School Uniform for Free (BCP Dorset)" is another great resource.
If your child has outgrown their school uniform or no longer needs it, please consider donating it back to the school for re-use or to those in need through the Facebook group (note: this group is not affiliated with BCP Council).
