👶 Dingley's Promise opens a new SEND nursery
We have been working closely with the charity Dingley’s Promise to provide a new nursery assessment centre to support children under five with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.
Dingley’s Promise, based in West Howe, had its grand opening this week.
Alongside the specialist nursery, providing early years places, the centre will also give a wide range of additional support for families, including:
* dedicated family support for centre children and those in the community
* stay and play sessions for families to enjoy the resources and equipment with their children
* playschemes throughout the holidays to provide respite for families, and engaging child-centred activities with the support of our specialist staff
* a welcoming and inclusive environment, where every child is valued and celebrated.
The new centre aims to give children the best possible start in life by providing specialist support tailored to each child to help with their onward journey into local settings.

🚼 It's reusable nappy week!
By choosing to use reusable nappies, parents and carers can reduce their carbon footprint making a positive impact on the environment and their budget.
Switch to reusables and you could save around £500 per baby. Disposable nappies contribute significantly to the waste and climate crisis in the UK - in the UK alone 3 billion disposable nappies are thrown away costing local authorities over £140 million per year for collection and disposal.
Ready to get started? Because the initial investment can be difficult, we have a Reusable Nappy Incentive Scheme - find out more below.
