🚮 Working to keep our beaches and parks clean

image

Keeping our seafront, parks and open spaces clean and tidy is a big job and our teams work hard to keep our hometown beautiful.

At this time of year, when it's busier, we have around 250 bins along the seafront. Our teams works late into the evening, and our cleaning teams start at sunrise, removing rubbish so that they are clean when people arrive.

We ask visitors to parks and beaches to put litter in the bins we provide, or take it home with them. We work in partnership with Waste Investigations Support and Enforcement (WISE) to issues fines to people caught littering deliberately.
