Shirebrook memorial garden
Shirebrook residents and workers are being urged to look at the options for additional growth in Shirebrook and to provide further feedback on how we can improve Shirebrook’s town centre, green spaces and countryside.
The latest step of the preparation of the Shirebrook Growth Plan starts today and people that live and work in Shirebrook are able to see what the potential options for additional growth in Shirebrook could look like and what types of development this growth could include.
This consultation follows the two earlier stages of public consultation that explored what people thought about what it is like living and working in Shirebrook and the innovative and nationally commended masterplanning game approach to exploring what types of development the public thought should be included in any future growth in the town.

Roseland Park and Crematorium progress
Steel frames of wake facility
Roseland Park and Crematorium is currently under construction in Shirebook and progress can now be seen with the appearance of steel frames recently.
The facility is due to open in spring 2025 and will provide a much needed service for the area.

Whitwell Festival of Music set to return
Whitwell Festival of Music
Whitwell Festival of Music is a popular local music festival that is the only festival in the area that can boast being 100% mud-free.
But last year, organisers decided not to hold the festival as the running of the event had become too expensive.
But, worry not, as it has been announced that the festival will be returning in all its glory this year. With band announcements starting to come in and tickets on sale now.
