Bungalow adapted for disabled tenant
Councillor Peake and Ritchie viewing a newly adapted council owned bungalow
A council-owned bungalow in Clowne has been adapted to suit the needs of a family with a disabled family member.
The house was originally a two-bedroom property with a garage site to the rear. When the property became empty Bolsover District Council saw an opportunity to turn the home into one suitable for a family with a disabled member.
The bungalow has a wide, covered entrance way with ramp and handrail leading to a wide door suitable for wheelchair access. The hallway is expansive to allow easy movement for a wheelchair user. Every door in the house is extra wide for access and there is an en suite wet room off the master bedroom as well as a large family bathroom off the corridor.
