We all know how important woodlands are. Not just for the benefits they provide in tackling climate change but also how they help nature thrive and provide a great community resource.
And Bolsover District Council has, and is, continuing to do their bit with a number of schemes and the recent appointment of a new community woodland officer. Our reporter Charlotte Ellis takes up the story.

Rhubarb Farm celebrating lottery windfall
Chickens at Rhubarb Farm
We have all heard the phrase ‘It could be you’. Well for Rhubarb Farm in Langwith ‘it is them’.
They have been awarded £418,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to spend over the next five years. It will help fund their innovative Buddies Progression Project, which is vital in helping volunteers transition to the next stages of their lives.
We went down to the farm to find out a bit more.
