Don't miss your chance to vote
The general election will take place on Thursday 4 July. The deadline to register to vote is 11.59pm on Tuesday 18 June 2024. The deadline to apply to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 19 June. You can find out how to register by visiting our website. If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to register again to vote in the general election.

Community funding
Community groups and organisations can now apply for small scale grants to support local initiatives that make a difference to people’s lives and bring communities together. Our Councillor Community Grant Scheme has seen more than 220 grants ranging from £250 up to a maximum of £3,000 awarded over the past three years.

Call for sites
Developers, landowners and other interested parties are being encouraged to get in touch with the council if they know about any potential future sites that could be suitable for Gypsy and Traveller pitches. Responses to the ‘call for sites’ - which forms part of the Basingstoke and Deane Local Plan Update - need to be received by Monday 8 July 2024.
