Cabinet approves food waste collections
Our Cabinet has approved plans to introduce weekly kerbside food waste collections from October 2025 allowing residents to take more out of their grey bin. Cabinet also agreed to move to a different weekly waste and recycling collection routine from 30 September 2026.

Progressing Aquadrome proposals
We are working towards opening a brand-new water and leisure centre at the leisure park in 2029. Plans for the new energy-efficient complex, to replace the much-loved Aquadrome, are being firmed up and would see it built on land currently used for car parking next to Buzz Bingo, subject to planning permission.

Whiteditch improvements
Be sure to put Whiteditch open space in Oakridge on your must-visit list this summer. Using developer's contributions we've installed new games and fitness equipment as well as woodland-themed sculptures and totems after a major improvement project. A footpath around the perimeter of the open space has also been introduced and new litter bins will be installed later in the summer.
