Plan to grow borough's diversity approved
We now have an ambitious new plan to halt the decline in biodiversity and restore nature. Developed with regional and national organisations and local conservation groups and volunteers, it sets out priority actions to respond to the ecological emergency we declared, including creating a nature partnership for joint projects to enhance the natural environment.

New grants for low-carbon taxis
We’ve launched £5,000 grants to help licensed taxi drivers take up new
easily-accessible and ultra-low emission hackney carriages. The electrically powered vehicles emit around 94% less carbon than diesel taxis, have a range of up to 333 miles and could save drivers money on fuel. Taxi drivers can learn more on our website.
