Crunch Month starts tomorrow
From tomorrow, a mobile waste collection service will be coming to locations near you in each of the borough's five towns for a period of five weeks from 9am-12.30pm. We will be starting with the following locations:
Billericay - Radford Crescent – Car Park CM12 0BW
Wickford - Alderney Gardens rear of shops SS11 7JP
Lee Chapel North - Plough and Tractor Pub SS15 5HG
Basildon - Barstable Club Long Riding SS14 1PD
Vange - Swanstead SS16 4PE
Residents can bring any excess general waste in black sacks and bulky waste items along.

Pathways - Spectrum Works Job and Wellbeing Fair
The Advice Store - Spectrum Works job and wellbeing fair graphic
Pathways, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and Essex County Council, are hosting a Spectrum Works Job and Wellbeing Fair for people with autism, ADHD or who are neurodiverse.
There will be a range of neurodivergent friendly employers as well as training providers and support groups. Exhibitors include Royal Mail, NHS, McDonald's and Essex Police.
The event will take place at the Basildon Centre, SS14 1DL, on Saturday 13 July from 11am to 2pm.

The Big Charity Football Match
Big Charity football match poster
The Big Charity Football Match will take place on Sunday 11 August with Essex Freemasons FC playing the Brain Tumour Charity.
There will be a licenced bar, food, live singer and DJ, face painting, sweet stall, ice-cream van, raffle, and more.
All proceeds will go to Lennox Children's Cancer Fund and the Brain Tumour Charity.
The game will kick off at 3pm at Billericay Town FC, New Lodge, Blunts Wall Road, CM12 9SA.
