Victoria Park in Laindon is now an official town park
Image of Cllr Henry planting tree
To mark this special occasion, Councillor Jeff Henry, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing, Leisure, Arts & Culture, has planted a silver birch tree – which will create a habitat and food source for our wildlife.
We've been busy making improvements to the park over the last couple of months, such as cutting the hedge to let more light in, which means more wildflowers this spring and better safety for our residents to enjoy the park. Additionally, we’ve added new signage with habitat panels to support our biodiversity.
