Tomorrow is your last chance to Crunch
*It’s the fifth and final week of the Crunch*!
Get your gloves on and come along to one of the following locations between 9am-12.30pm:
* Billericay – Arlington Way, CM12 0TJ
* Wickford – Scott Drive by school, SS12 9PW
* Langdon Hills – Behind Triangle Shops, SS16 6HF
* Basildon – Rippleside (near St Teresa’s School), SS14 1SE
* Pitsea – Bockingham Green, SS13 1PF
At last week's Crunch we collected *78.980 tonnes of waste* - the equivalent to 6 Notre Dame Cathedral Bells!
If you are registered for an assisted collection for your waste and recycling, or have significant health and mobility issues, visit our website linked below to arrange a collection of bulky waste.
This service offer is to provide assistance to some of the borough's most vulnerable residents. If demand is high, it may take a few weeks to complete the collection.

Calling all borough residents, are you an eager photographer, with a passion for sports and summer fun? Then Basildon Council's Summer of Sport Photo Competition is for you!
We want to see your best sporting shots this summer, whether you're in the middle of the action or cheering from the side-lines.
If you haven’t already entered, there's still time! Be in with a chance of winning one of four fantastic prizes:
*1st Prize – *6 months pass Basildon Sporting Village
*2nd Prize – *Family tickets to Vue Cinema Basildon
*3rd Prize – *Bespoke sustainable made Bug Hotel

Olympic athletes welcomed back to Basildon

This week we welcomed home our fantastic Olympic athletes!
Basildon-based gymnasts Max Whitlock, Georgia-Mae Fenton and Courtney Tulloch were welcomed by crowds of fans and the Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Allan Davies yesterday as they returned to the place where it all began.
The gymnasts train at South Essex Gymnastics Club which is based at Basildon Sporting Village.
We have fantastic facilities here at Basildon Sporting Village [
], providing opportunities for anyone with an interest in gymnastics to start their journey.
A huge congratulations to Team GB on their achievements so far, Basildon is behind you.
