Become a local parks volunteer
Two special coffee mornings will welcome new volunteers looking to support their local parks.
Come along to meet the *Gloucester Park Community Group* or the *Friends (to be) of Northlands Park*.

* Northlands Park Volunteer Group – Thursday 11 April, 10.30am - 12.30pm, Northlands Park
There's no need to book - come along to support your local park.

Sign up to the Garden Waste subscription service 2024/2025

The subscription runs until Monday 31 March 2025, charged at £50 for one green bin collection and £25 for each additional bin.

Safer Basildon pop up events
Two pop up events will take place to raise awareness of violence against women and girls with a range of crime prevention materials available. The events will take place on Monday 8 April at the following locations:
* Northlands Park from 10am to 12pm
* Outside Basildon Sporting Village from 2pm to 4pm

Seven new Local Nature Reserves are coming to our borough at the following locations:

* Norsey Meadow
* St. Nicholas Church Hills
* Noak Bridge
* Cranes Farm Nature Zone
* Nevendon Bushes
Local Nature Reserves are vital for our borough’s biodiversity. They protect habitats and allow our wildlife to thrive. They also offer a beautiful place to explore which improves health and wellbeing - *watch our short video linked below for more information.*

Come along to our Basildon Heritage event on Saturday 20 April between 10.30am and 12.30pm at The Green Centre, Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea.
