Crunch Month launches Saturday 13 July
Let’s reset and start from scratch!
For a five-week period, The Crunch (council waste collection vehicles) will visit each of the council’s main towns and allow residents to get rid of any built up waste. The service will also allow residents to dispose of all bulky items for free.
The mobile waste collection service will visit 25 locations across five dates – one location in each of the borough’s five towns per week, starting *Saturday 13 July 2024*.
Alongside the new Crunch service, the council’s waste teams will be targeting hotspots around the borough to clear any dumped rubbish, litter pick, and tidy up footpaths. All teams will be fully focused on this reset throughout the borough.

Do you have any excess general waste in black sacks or bulky waste items? Get your gloves on and bring them to one of the following locations on Saturday 13 July:
* Radford Crescent – Car Park, Billericay, CM12 0BW
* Alderney Gardens (rear of shops), Wickford, SS11 7JP
* Plough and Tractor Pub, Laindon, SS15 5HG
* Barstable Club, Long Riding, Basildon, SS14 1PD
* Swanstead, Pitsea, SS16 4PE
