Join Ambitious Women in Essex (AWiE) and Basildon Council as we bring you a special event in collaboration with Ford Motor Company. The event is being held at Ford Motor Company’s Dunton Campus on 6 March from 10am, working in partnership to deliver an innovative experience aimed at women in business.
We will also be joined by some of our key Essex business support providers who will be on hand to answer any questions you have.
AWiE events are very relaxed, simply turn up when you can and stay for as long as you like, with no expectation for you to do anything other than enjoy yourself and talk to as many members of the community as you wish.
This is an amazing opportunity to network with one of Essex's leading organisations, whatever stage you are at in your career or entrepreneurial journey.

The South Essex Business Expo takes place on Thursday 14 March at the Brentwood Centre, supported by all South Essex authorities.
The event is open to businesses of all sizes, trades, industries, professions and sectors, start-ups and pre-start-ups with something for everyone.
The free event is set to be the largest networking event in South Essex in 2024 with over 150 exhibitors and an expected 1,000 visitors.

Bank of England presentation on 'The performance of the UK economy' and Basildon business leaders launch

On Friday 8 March 2024, Lorna Pringle, the Bank of England’s Deputy Agent for the East of England, will be speaking at the formal launch of Basildon Business Leaders, taking a look at the UK economy, drawing on the most recent Bank of England Monetary Policy Report.
Lorna’s talk will give insights into the current situation on inflation, unemployment and GPD as well as giving some thoughts about future trends in 2024 and beyond. Places are strictly limited, and tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book your place early to avoid disappointment.

Basildon’s Monthly SME Networking event

Basildon council and Metro Bank work in partnership to deliver a monthly small business networking group which is open to all business managers and owners based across the South Essex region. The sessions are free to attend, held on the first Monday of each month and make for a relaxing and open networking format.
Most events will feature a guest speaker providing important and interesting updates for businesses. Teas, coffees and nibbles are provided, just bring your business cards.
