TOP STORY: Public asked to share views on residential services for adults
As part of a review of residential and nursing homes for adults, Westmorland and Furness Council is asking people to share their experiences of receiving residential care.
Through its contracts with independent social care providers, each year the council spends around £22.4 million providing residential care to nearly 800 adults in Westmorland and Furness, including older and disabled people and those with mental health support needs. The support received ranges from essential daily living care and medication provision through to more complex care for those requiring dementia and nursing support.
The council is asking for feedback about what works well, what needs to be improved and what is most important in giving people a good experience of residential care.
