New Year, New Office, New - Look Newsletter
Penrith Library
Penrith Adult Learning Team has now moved into our new premises in Penrith Library. We are delighted to be based in this fantastic community hub alongside our library colleagues. We are available most weekdays between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm, so please pop in and see us, and encourage others to do the same.
When you come in, just ask a member of library staff for adult learning, and one of us will usually be available to come out and have a chat about courses available. We can also help people to decide which course is right for them, and enroll people onto courses.
If you have any questions about our courses, or want to make an appointment to see us, please call us on *01768 812103/07468 709696 *or email penrithadultlearning@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk. We look forward to seeing you there soon!

Welcome to Sue Mason, our new part-time Community Development Worker, who joined us in January. She normally works from Monday to Wednesday and covers the whole of the Eden Valley. Sue's role is to work closely with partner organisations to help as many people as possible to access courses. She also supports the adult learning team to ensure that the courses provided match the needs of our local community. Sue loves to network, especially over a cuppa, so feel free to

Information, Advice and Guidance
Adult Learning has a duty of care to provide potential learners with impartial information, advice and guidance. We aim to help you make informed decisions about the suitability of any study programme to meet your needs and aspirations.
This plays a role in making sure that you enrol on a course that suits your need best at that point in time. It is based on looking your individual needs and mutually agreeing the best way forward to you; we hope to be able to support you through our extensive range of courses, however, this may actually involve us advising that another provider can support you better at that point in time.
