JOB OF THE WEEK!
*Regulation and Compliance Officer - Public Protection*
We are seeking three highly organised individuals to undertake these important roles within our Licensing Team. You will need excellent communication skills and have experience of dealing with a wide range of people and situations in a professional manner.
As a Regulatory and Compliance Officer you will deal with licensed premises, taxis, boats, small lotteries, street trading, gambling, and temporary event notifications. You will enforce legislation and local requirements of licences and will be expected to attend some sub-committee meetings and engage with Councillors. You will also be expected to undertake other duties from time to time in relation to events within the area.
You must have experience of dealing with members of the public and be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. You will also have excellent IT and written and verbal communication skills.
A qualification in Licensing, experience of working in an enforcement role and / or dealing with the public in difficult or confrontational situations would be an advantage.
