*Specialist Level 2 - Conservation Officer*
Westmorland and Furness Council are seeking two conservation officers to contribute to the preparation of the Local Plan and other planning policies, provide conservation advice to the Development Management service on built heritage issues and advise the Council, colleagues, partners and the public on heritage protection and conservation matters.
You will have a strong understanding of urban design, of local, regional and national characteristics of the historic environment and architectural/development history. You will be able to gather and interpret information on the historic environment and make informed judgments based on evidence and legal and policy frameworks.
