*Climate and Nature Policy and Green Finance Officer*
Westmorland and Furness Council have identified climate change and biodiversity as key priorities, recognising we are facing climate and biodiversity crises, which will have potentially catastrophic impacts locally, nationally and internationally.
This post brings an exciting opportunity to provide policy support to the Climate and Natural Environment Team. The post holder will provide research and policy analysis to support the work the team are doing, frequently horizon scanning for future government guidance and legislation that will have the potential to influence or inform our work on net zero and nature recovery.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person who can gather, interpret and present strategic information in a cohesive manner, making connections between projects and policies to strengthen the net zero and nature recovery programme.
