We believe In plants’ natural, renewable energy and that millions of us trying to change how we eat is better than a handful of people being perfectly sustainable. [JOIN THE MOVEMENT]( SUSTAINABLE FOOD, SUSTAINABLE BIZ WE'RE A B CORP Is a movement designed as a new way to do business, creating a culture that balances people with profit and the planet. To maintain B Corp status, companies must recertify every three years and are given a B Impact score. We recertified in 2021 and achieved a 101.3 B Impact Score, which puts us in the ‘Outstanding’ category of B Corps. Only 3% of B-Corp food companies globally have been recognised with B-Corp's Outstanding award. WE USE WONKY VEG Wonky veg are part of a wonderful world of veg deemed too ‘out there’ for supermarkets. While it’s gotten better, often perfectly delicious fruit + veg is rejected simply down to aesthetics. Luckily, we know that their beauty goes beyond skin deep. Wonky veg has been part of our dishes since 2021, saving over 2 tonnes (or the weight of an adult male giraffe) of CO2E emissions. Not bad for a knobbly carrot or a giant sweet potato. WE SAVE OUR SOIL Partnering with Soil Heroes, we’ve sequestered 18 tonnes of C02 into soil which is what 700 trees could absorb in a year and the same as preventing 215,000 plastic bottles being produced. PROJECT PLANT We always strive for zero waste, however when we do have more food we want to get it to the people who need it most. We’ve worked with food waste charity, The Felix Project to see that 90,000 of our meals find their way to families, elderly, isolated and homeless people in need across Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham.
