Play area, Eden Street, Silloth
Play project comes to fruition
We are delighted to see new play equipment installed at Eden Street play area in Silloth.
We invested £10,000 toward this £40,000 project, which will significantly improve access to active play for local youngsters. It has been led by Silloth-on-Solway Town Council.
The new equipment is aimed at children aged five to 12, and includes more accessible areas and fun challenges for its users.
There is a new play tower, a musical panel, a ball maze, noughts and crosses and a spinning ‘gravity bowl.’ There is also a new swing frame for children aged five to 14. It has an ‘inclusive’ seat and new safety surfacing.
A Silloth-on-Solway Town Council representative said: “We are grateful for this support, and hope local children get hours of fun from the new equipment and improved play area.”
