Get ready to hop into spring with our exciting Easter lineup! From Wordsworth Trust events to craft workshops, there's something for everyone. Dive in and discover the fun!
Rucksack of Rhymes with Wordsworth Trust
Our beloved Rucksack of Rhymes events are returning to Workington, Keswick, and Wigton libraries!
Choose from: "Spring Surprises" and "Busy Bees." Or better yet, why not join us for both? It's double the fun!

Make your own Easter bunny at Millom Library

Hop over to Millom Library on Saturday 30 March, from 9.30am to 11.30am for some Easter craft fun!
Create your very own Easter Bunny to take home!
No need to book - just turn up and enjoy the fun.
Perfect for kids ages 3 and up. Don't forget, adult supervision required.

Spring Crafts with Tullie on Saturday 6 April
Drop-in to this free event and get crafting with Tullie in the junior library.
No booking necessary, just pop in on the day between 10am and 1pm.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Creative crafts
Pop in to Carlisle Library for our free craft sessions for children under 5 and their grown-ups. Colouring, glueing and getting creative!

Easter opening hours

Easter is just around the corner and the following library closures will be in place.
All libraries will be closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
Normal opening hours will apply on Saturday 30 March, and everything will be back to normal from Tuesday 2 April onwards.

Cumbrian born author touring libraries for Women's History Month
Tudor Feminists by Rebecca Wilson
Local author Rebecca Wilson who was born in Cleator Moor but now lives in Egremont, will be discussing her new book "Tudor Feminists - 10 Renaissance Women Ahead of their Time’" in celebration of Women's History Month.

Beyond the Bump at Maryport Library
New casual peer support gathering, tailor-made for new families with little ones
Baby weigh station
Every Wednesday, 9.30am - 10.30am at Maryport Library, no need to book, just drop-in!
Connect with fellow parents, share advice, and enjoy some complimentary treats while your little one explores and learns in our fun-filled environment!
You can also weigh your baby and track their growth using our free baby weigh scales - remember to bring along your red book!
Plus, grab your Free Healthy Start vitamins for your two and four-year-olds with a pre-paid card.

National Theatre Collection 3 is here!
Cumberland Libraries now offer the National Theatre Collection 3 for free!
Library users can access it on our public PCs. Simply log in and enjoy world-class performances, perfect for students studying plays or anyone who loves theatre.
The National Theatre is excited to be bringing a brilliant and varied set of titles such as Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Wuthering Heights and Romeo and Juliet to members of the public, so they can also enjoy high-quality screenings by accessing the screenings themselves within the library.
