Founded in 1976, Paul James is a luxury knitwear brand based in Leicestershire, England. For the last five decades, we’ve worked solely with natural fibres sourced from the world’s finest suppliers to create high-quality knitwear.

By working directly with our suppliers and designing and manufacturing all of our knitwear in our own factories, we cut out expensive intermediaries. Meaning that we are able to offer fair prices for the world's most luxurious yarns, providing you with affordable luxury. 


Inspired by workwear and heritage knits of the past, our collections are intentionally timeless and designed to last.

Our sustainable values drive our design ethos, and our designers intentionally create timeless knitwear that looks beautiful season after season, irrespective of passing trends. Inspired by chunky heritage knits worn by Irish fishermen, North Sea sailors, and British countryside clothing, our iconic knitwear harks back to days gone by. 


Made from the finest quality natural yarns, with a bit of care and attention, our knitwear will last for many years to come.
