Waste and Recycling collections - can we help?

The vast majority of collections are taking place on resident’s scheduled collection day. However, we know there are a few areas experiencing problems and we are continuing to work hard to resolve these issues. We do have extra vehicles and crews helping us catch up on missed collections and supporting us whilst we get used to the new software, vehicles and routes. We thank residents for their patience during this period.

Please continue to report any missed collections via our website but if you're unable to do this and need further support, you can contact us directly over the phone, via email or by sending a private message to us on social media and we'll be happy to assist you.

Ashford will acknowledge the fallen as part of D Day 80

Thursday 6 June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever witnessed.

The UK will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings with a series of major commemorations and events across the UK and in France. Given Ashford’s strong military links a programme of activities are being planned in the borough on 6 June:

D Day 80 Flag Raising Ceremony at 9am at the Civic Centre
• D Day 80 Commemorative Ceremony at 11am in Memorial Gardens
• D Day 80 Beacon Lighting at 9.15pm in Civic Park
• Sending out D Day educational activity sheets to schools in the borough
Are you organising a D Day 80 event in the borough? Let us know
