Learn traditional skills at the Celtic Harmony Camp

Spring is here and, with the weather getting warmer, here's a chance to immerse yourself in East Hertfordshire’s wild side!

Celtic Harmony Camp in Brickendon is working with environmental charity, Groundwork East, to provide an opportunity to spend time in the outdoors and learn traditional conservation skills during a 4-week course.  This will run on Thursdays from 16 May to 6 June, 11am-2pm.

Celtic Harmony Camp's facilities include seven Iron Age roundhouses, 13 acres of woodland and a pre-history centre with its own Iron Age Exhibit and Palaeolithic cave. It offers prehistory experiences designed to bring people together, create a sense of connection with nature and our cultural heritage, and develop new skills.

Every thought about car sharing?

Car sharing (sometimes known as car-pooling or ride sharing) is when people share a car journey to the same destination. It can be a particularly effective option for commutes to work and the school run when you are travelling to the same destination at the same time on a regular basis.

In addition to having a positive environmental impact by reducing the number of cars on the road, car sharing can also help you make financial savings.

To encourage car sharing, we are running some online advertising as part of our on-going Breathe Clean campaign. This is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and aims to improve air quality across East Herts and raise awareness of steps we can take to protect ourselves from air pollution.
