] was a just a few days ago and this month’s three steps are ways you can get involved in making a difference to climate and the environment.

Have your say on local power generation
Join Energise South Downs for one of five exciting workshops across East Hampshire, exploring how we can power our communities using locally generated renewable energy sources.
Drawing on data and research, attendees will explore what might be feasible and create space for an informed, balanced conversation about what communities feel is acceptable.
We have supported these events through our Councillor Community Grant Scheme, which is open now for applications. It is also supported by the South Downs National Park Authority.

Join the Big River Watch
If you live near a river, you can help The Rivers Trust [
] to monitor the health of the UK’s rivers from 3-6 May.
Simply download their app and spend just 15 minutes recording what you see.

Warmer Homes happy family image
Make your home more energy efficient
If your home is not heated by mains gas (e.g. you use electric, oil or LPG heating).
If your home’s energy performance certificate (EPC) rating is D, E, F, or G.
If you have a household income of £31,000 or less, or you receive a means-tested benefit.
You could receive free energy saving improvements for your home, such as insulation, air source heat pumps and solar panels through the Warmer Homes scheme.
If you know someone who might qualify for support, please pass this information to them.
