South Yorkshire Mayoral Election Results
Thank you to all who voted in the South Yorkshire Mayoral Elections yesterday.
Votes will be counted and annouced tomorrow, Saturday 4 May.
The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority will publish the results on their website and will have a livestream available here.
They will also be published on the City of Doncaster Council website:

The final ticket release for our 'Night at the Museum' event are out now!

Doncaster’s Steampunk Spectacular returns
Join us on Saturday 11 May for the Steampunk Spectacular.
The all-day event in the city centre promises to be a steampunk extravaganza with plenty to see and do including...

Entertainment and activities will take place in the Mansion House, Sir Nigel Gresley Square and Frenchgate precinct/Clock Corner.
City Centre Parking
If you’re visiting the City Centre in an evening this Bank Holiday Weekend, please plan where you are going to park. All the open Council car parks* are just £1 from 6pm to 8am each day so please ensure you park legally.
Recently our enforcement officers were on patrol across Hall Gate, High Street, St Sepulchre Gate, Cleveland Street and East Laith Gate.
30 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) were issued; 16 of these were for parking in the taxi bays, the rest were due to parking in disabled bays and no waiting bays.
*Please note - Colonnades car park will be CLOSED as planned from 4 – 6 May for essential works.
Bank Holiday Updates
Doncaster Domestic Abuse Hub
The Doncaster Domestic Abuse Hub will be closed on Monday 6 May and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday 7 May.

Your recycling and waste this Bank Holiday Weekend
- Bank Holiday Bin Collections - Bin collections will continue as normal over the bank holiday weekend. Please check your calendar for your bin collection day, or online:
- Doncaster’s six Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) will continue with business hours over the bank holiday weekend, with all of them open on Monday 6 May. A reminder that all sites have “summer” opening hours, meaning that they will remain open until 7pm, providing residents with more opportunity to dispose of their waste. For more information, visit:
