Building the Future: how net zero is shaping construction

23  April
Thakeham’s Woodgate community hub, Pease Pottage
8.30am to 11.30am

The next in the popular series of free, business inspiration events is set to take place next month.

At ‘Building the Future’, you will hear how sustainability is changing the fabric of the construction sector, with the industry at the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime, net zero transformation. Attendees will gain a solid understanding of how the industry is shaping up to meet the challenge and help you keep ahead of the curve.

You’ll also hear from construction sector experts who’ll share insights into how sustainability drivers in local planning will impact construction. This includes Biodiversity Net Gain legislation, how reducing on-site waste cuts costs, about innovations in building materials, what the sector can do to mitigate climate impacts and risk and how investment in immersive learning is helping the industry address green skills challenges and provide a pipeline of local talent.

There will also be ample opportunity built into the agenda for networking.
