Get ready to vote on Thursday 2 May
Elections are taking place next Thursday and in Chelmsford there’ll be one for a Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.
*If you have a postal vote, don’t forget to post it in the envelopes provided*, or deliver it by hand to us at our office or at any polling station by 10pm on 2 May. If you choose to hand in your postal vote, you’ll need to fill out a short form provided by polling station or reception staff.
*If you’re voting in person, you’ll need an accepted form of photo ID* to vote. There are lots of different types of eligible photo ID and expired ID can also be accepted as long as it still looks like you. Check the list on our website to make sure you have everything you need to cast your vote next week.

Have your say on the future of the Meadows
The Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford is asking residents and visitors to share ideas on its plans for the future.
